About the Program

The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) – Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program prepares BSN-holding RNs to become nurse practitioners and prepares nurses to provide care to a broad population base (young adult to geriatric populations).

The 45-credit-hour curriculum focuses on health promotion and maintenance, differential diagnosis, disease management, and pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions. Students will complete 750 clinical practice hours and may choose to complete these hours at Navicent Healthcare or they may choose to complete these hours at a Georgia healthcare facility of their choice, pending approval from the MSN Program Coordinator. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be eligible to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) or the American Association of Critical Care AGACNP certification exam.

With all courses provided online and two required on-campus intensive/immersion days held every semester, the MSN program at 51勛圖窪蹋厙 equips its students with critical skills in advanced nursing care for adult patients in acute healthcare environments including emergency rooms, intensive care units, trauma units, specialty clinics, long-term care facilities, and advanced diagnostic areas.

"I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at 51勛圖窪蹋厙. I was already established as an alumni, which made the application process much easier. I had such a positive experience with my undergraduate degree that I chose to continue with them to earn my graduate degree. The faculty are very encouraging and supportive. You really feel as though they are in your corner, fighting the battle with you to see you succeed."
