Biography: Samantha Pierce has been the Nursing Retention and NCLEX Success Coach since spring of 2024 and has transitioned to a faculty role for the fall 2025 semester. She has been a registered nurse for eight years and began her nursing career in a small, rural hospital floating between the ICU step-down unit and the emergency department. After gaining the knowledge, skills, and confidence of being a nurse, she decided to transfer to the operating room. For 4 years she was a circulating nurse working with surgeons of all disciplines, with a heavy focus on orthopedic surgery, including joint replacement.
In 2016, Samantha graduated from Georgia Southern University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and later completed a Master of Science in Nursing Administration in 2022 from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She is currently enrolled in the Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program here at MGA. Samantha has been with her husband, Ty, for 12 years. They have 2 children; Sonny who is 4 and Lucy who is 2.
