Statement of Teaching and research interests
As a nursing educator, I believe that the core of effective teaching lies in placing the student at the center of their educational journey. My philosophy is grounded in the belief that students learn best when they are active participants in their learning process, rather than passive recipients of information. My role is to guide and support this transformation through a student-centered, active learning environment that cultivates clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and professional identity. Central to my approach is Patricia Benner’s Novice to Expert theory, which provides a developmental framework for understanding how students evolve in their clinical knowledge and decision-making abilities.
