Biography: | Andy Davidson holds an MFA in fiction from the University of Mississippi. He is the author of THE HOLLOW KIND (2022), THE BOATMAN'S DAUGHTER (2020), and IN THE VALLEY OF THE SUN (2017). THE HOLLOW KIND was selected for Esquire Magazine's Best Horror of the Year, as well as Barnes & Noble's Best Books of 2022. THE BOATMAN'S DAUGHTER was listed among NPR's Best Books of the Year, as well as the New York Public Library's Best Adult Books of 2020. IN THE VALLEY OF THE SUN was a finalist for the 2017 Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a First Novel, the 2018 Edinburgh International Book Festival's First Book Award, and the 2021 Prix Bob Morane for Foreign Novel. His short fiction has appeared in numerous anthologies and journals. His next novel, THE VAMPIRE AND THE ROBOT, is forthcoming from Putnam in 2026. |
